Just love Ian's energy to work the channel and provide the support needed. Provides an enormous wealth of information on how things work in the channel and always willing to share.

Ian is also one of the few (is my experience unfortunately) who are really committed to the channel, and doesn't compromise on his relationships when short term opportunities come along.

I have known Ian over the last 15 years , having given him his first break at open systems distributor Sphinx, He never ceases to amaze me by his dedication to areas of this market that excite him, he is passionate, hardworking and ensures he puts partners and customers first, even if it is against the “corporate grain” so to speak. I have been in the IT sector for over 25 years with the past 8 specialising in Cloud solutions to the SMB sector. I sit on the board of Eurocloud UK & the Governance Board of the Cloud Industry Forum (CIF) & in early 2012 was appointed to the advisory board of SaaSMax.

I was awarded global ‘AllBusiness Sales AllStar Award for 2010’ and The ‘European Channel Personality of the Year Award for 2011’ . I was also named by TalkinCloud as one of the global top 200 cloud channel experts in 2011 and listed on the MSPMentor top 250 list for 2011. Late in 2011 I was awarded by Channelnomics the 2011 Influencer of the year award for Europe and in early 2012 I was the first in the UK to pass the CompTIA Cloud Essentials specialty certification exam.

I continue to speak at SMB events and publish papers on the adoption of cloud technologies and in the past 18 months have spoken across Europe to a large number of channel parties on how to transition a reselling model into the cloud.

Ian is possibly the greatest SMB ambassador you will meet. He instinctively understands business challenges and how to meet them head on - and take advantage of them.

My recommendation to the judges would be to look closely at the achievements of someone who has SUCH a reputation in his home country, the UK, that his voters from this comparably small region rival the number of votes for some of the other great candidates for this award
